Leisure at the Diringlo – a potpourri of activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Finding the right leisure activities during your stay at DIRINGLO will not be easy – there are so many options and each one is so tempting that the biggest challenge will be to choose – or rather, to decide to stay for a longer holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the special features of DIRINGLO is that you can start any number of activities literally on your doorstep – without a car, without travelling.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Breathtaking landscapes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Whether you are walking, cycling or skiing, you are already in the midst of some of the most beautiful landscapes you will find anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an argument in favour of the latter claim, and before you get a real picture of it during your stay in DIRINGLO, you might want to take a look at the application filed by the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen for recognition of its unique landscapes as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Everything is blue here!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As you can see in many reports and on the spot, the people here in Ohlstadt and the Murnau region are very fond of the color blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Blaue Land” ( i.e. “the blue land”), as the area around Ohlstadt and Murnau is also called, should be mentioned in this context.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, there is the color of the picturesque lakes, some of which are within cycling distance from DIRINGLO. If you are familiar with the ability of intensive landscape experience, you will have to pinch yourself at times to realize that the natural beauty and loveliness that lies before you is true: Staffelsee, Riegsee, Osterseen, Eibsee, Walchensee, Kochelsee and Starnberger See (listed in increasing distance from the vacation apartments in DIRINGLO).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Blaue Reiter (i.e. the artists group named “blue rider”) call “Man into the infinite”<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another aspect of the blue theme is revealed in its most beautiful graphic expression in the works of the “Blaue Reiter” group of artists, a secession of the “Neue K\u00fcnstlervereinigung M\u00fcnchen” group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artists of the “Blauer Reiter” around Gabriele M\u00fcnter, Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc and August Macke lived in Murnau and the surrounding area before World War I. They were inspired by landscape and folk art and became important pioneers of modern art in the 20th century.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A visit to Gabriele M\u00fcnter’s house in Murnau, where preliminary discussions and preparatory work for the almanac “Der Blaue Reiter” took place at the beginning of the 20th century, is today a must for all art lovers and connoisseurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the color blue, which dominates the cover of the almanac, Kandinsky wrote: “The deeper the blue becomes, the deeper it calls man into the infinite, awakening in him a longing for the pure and ultimately for the supersensible. It is the color of the sky.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Blue mountains and white-blue skies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For those who want to delve even deeper into their own – visual – experience of blue, there are the mountain ranges that serve as a monumental picture frame in the area of the Murnauer Moos nature reserve right next to the DIRINGLO, directing the viewer’s gaze to the Wettersteingebirge (i.e. Wetterstein Mountains) and the Zugspitze to the south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under certain weather conditions, the described mountain ridges form a deep, staggered background, which takes on a lighter shade of blue-grey the further away you are: A special variant of the “Blue Mountains”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finally, there is the question of why the Bavarian sky is white-blue and not blue-white.
The answer is left to your everyday philosophical moments, which you can cultivate perfectly, for example, by lingering in one of the beer gardens, which this area around the Diringlo has produced in such a beautiful form and location, and reading deeply pondering over your wheat beer.
